Toolbox 2, created by Richard Brehm
The sheet metal body and interior tray components of the toolbox were made using a combination of shelled extruded closed profiles and the use of the bend tool to form some of the flanges. Other tools used were the revolve tool to create the rivets and the grommet attachment points on the interior trays. The tool box handle was created using the loft tool through a series of profiles placed along a polyline used as a guide for the handle’s shape. A blend radius was applied to many of the component edges to eliminate the sharp edge effect. One component of the latch mechanism required the use of the sweep tool, allowing the user to sweep a closed or open profile shape along the path of another closed or open profile shape.
